You can also wrap your plants in cardboard or aluminum foil, making sure the material extends a couple of inches into the ground.
Getting Rid of Bagworms. Bagworms are a terrible garden pest that can be nearly impossible to get rid of. Fortunately, you do not have to turn to pesticides, since there are several organic methods you can try. You can collect and drown bagworm stems, or you can use a bacterial agent to kill them. You can also use pheromone traps or oil sprays to kill the pests.
Getting Rid of Tent Worms. Tent worms are disgusting little creatures that will infest and eat your tree. These tent worms will go away on their own naturally, but not before eating at least part of the growth on your tree. You can remove these insects with insecticide, but this can be dangerous. You can also kill off tent worms by squishing them or cutting them, then throwing them in bags to be hauled off. Any method should be done early morning or late evening.
